Trauma Field - Gray

A cloudless sky
Opens above the land so gray
Watching it's quiet apathy.
No time has passed
Since that day.

Pale, ivory trees stand tall
Like reaching up to the heights,
But the wolrd stays still,
Forever in this realm of no life
And the sun is gone
But it's still not dark
This strange half-light, always the same.
And my world is gray

A curveless road,
A scar on the land so gray
Leading nowhere from nothing.
No-one has passed
Since that day
I sit by the ivory trees
And wait for you to come by again.
This time I will not let you go

I remember it used to rain
Before you entered my realm.
And after you left
Everything just stopped.

And now the sun is gone.
(You took the light away)
But it's never too dark.
(Oh why didn't you stay)
This strange half-light, always the same.
(There is no night or day)
And my world is gray.

The last rays of the setting sun
Painted your hair with gold.
I stood and watched you walk away.
(Never saw the sun again...)
Time has stopped
And the trees have died, died of waiting.
No life has lived
Since that day

No life has lived
No soul has passed
Since that day
The day you took the sun away
Nothing is left
No tear's been shed
Since that day
